Position Summary

The Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for helping ensure jobs are fully prepared before scheduled start dates by coordinating purchasing, tracking materials, managing purchase orders, and maintaining inventory organization.

This role plays a key part in keeping operations running efficiently by helping eliminate material delays, improving workflow organization, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Primary Responsibilities

Purchasing & Material Coordination

  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Order material for upcoming jobs
  • Track deliveries, backorders, and ETA’s
  • Coordinate with supply houses and vendors
  • Ensure materials arrive before scheduled jobs
  • Communicate delays or material concerns proactively
Inventory Management
  • Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Monitor commonly used stock items
  • Help organize warehouse and material staging
  • Track missing or delayed materials
  • Support inventory processes and workflow improvements
Workflow & Operations Support
  • Review upcoming jobs and identify material needs
  • Help maintain organized purchasing documentation
  • Communicate with office staff, technicians, and leadership
  • Support daily operational workflow and scheduling readiness
  • Assist with vendor follow-up and material coordination
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn software systems
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, or operations coordination preferred
  • Electrical industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Must demonstrate the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Must meet company standards for pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or customers; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects (typically up to 50 pounds), and operating power tools.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position per Act 593 of 2017.
